Today we celebrate the legacy of German fencing master Joachim Meyer, author of the manual that my group studies, his 1570 Art of Combat. An important resource for any student of KdF, check out some of the links below to celebrate the life and work of Meyer.
Today’s article on HROARR “A Salute To Joachim Meyer”, which suggests,
“We salute Joachim Meÿer by dedicating today to the studies of his teachings, training hard and lighting a candle while drinking good German beer and reading his treatises.”

And finally, the extremely happy news that Dr. Forgeng’s excellent translation of the 1570 manual will soon be reprinted.
